Did you know that in order for an x58 motherboard to support SLI the motherboard manufacturer must pay NVIDIA a small fee to become "certified"? Well, if you're the fortunate owner of a Gigabyte EX58 UD4 motherboard, you have a treat coming your way. PC Home Advance in Taiwan has figured out how to take the BIOS of the EX58 UD4P motherboard, which in fact does officially support SLI, and flash it to the EX58 UD4, the less expensive of the two motherboards, allowing it to do SLI. It's not as easy as a normal BIOS flash procedure, but with a little creativity, you can get it working. Instructions are available at the link.
