CM Storm, Cooler Master's collaboration with professional gamers, which was behind the recently reviewed Sniper chassis has now introduced its next gaming case, the Scout. Billed as "The True Gaming Chassis" the Scout is built around a solid steel body, with 140mm intake, 140mm top and 120mm rear exhaust fans. Two further 120mm fans can also be mounted to deal with thermal hotspots. The Scout also provides 5 x 3.5" and 4 x 5.25" drive bays, with support for 1.8" and 2.5" SSDs should you need it, as well as I/O panel connectivity for eSATA, Firewire, HD Audio and 4 x USB. The panel also gives you an LED switch to control case lighting. An interesting addition is the StormGuard PCI-bracket, which allows you secure your peripherals, meaning that (as long as you have locked your side panel) nobody can run off with your mouse and keyboard while you're using the bathroom at a LAN party. If you do want to move your whole case, the integrated carry handles should make things easier. Pricing and availability of the Scout chassis wasn't mentioned.
