NVIDIA Also Has Some New Mobile GPUs
Earlier today we noted that ATI had some new mobile GPUs around the corner, so it makes sense that its biggest competitor also has some new laptop based graphics power up its sleeve. The big player among these is the new GTX 280M, which NVIDIA is aptly applying the "fastest laptop GPU on the market" title to. We'll have to wait for some benchmark figures to see how fast it actually is, though the claim is 50% faster than previous generation enthusiast parts if you fancy doing some mathematical guesswork. Naturally you will also be able to bolt together two GTX 280M GPUs in SLI for more performance. Moving further down the line, we will also see the introduction of the respectively slower GTX 260M, GTS 160M and GTS 150M. All the new parts support both PhysX and CUDA, but when we will see them shipping is currently unknown. However, if you happen to be lucky enough to stop by CeBit this week then you might well see some of the new chips in action.
