Hardware Roundup: Monday Edition

Intel's Core i7 supports triple-channel memory through its integrated memory controller and selecting the right memory is getting easier as more and more modules come to market. Today's roundup features three different kits from Crucial, Kingston and Patriot. Solid state drives are the coming factor in storage in terms of speed and single level cell SSDs are designed in enterprise class storage. They may be faster than their multi-level cell counterparts, but they also command a premium price. You can't count out the traditional hard drive just yet either. We get a look Seagate's latest Barracuda 7200.12 family of drives boasting 500GB per platter.
