When you hear expensive laptops there are two things that come to mind, an Apple MacBook or those silly gold and/or diamond encrusted laptops. This morning when I saw a post in the forums titled "MOST expensive laptop ever?!?!" I was actually expecting it to be one of the usual anti-Mac type threads that pop up from time to time on every site, but as it so turns out it my assumption couldn't have been more wrong.
Right now, it appears that a tiny glitch in Lenovo's online store is causing a 12.1" ThinkPad X61s to be overpriced by about $29,000,000 USD. The good news is, if you ADD a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 to your order, it'll knock the price down by about a million bucks. This may be the first hard evidence that I've ever seen of Microsoft providing a cost savings. Fully decked out with 8G memory, a 200GB hard disk, blue tooth and more, the system will run you about $29,001,878.00 (USD) + tax and shipping and handling. Hurry and buy now, with prices this low we're sure it won't stay in stock for long!
Thanks to trudgy for the heads up in the forums! Pictures (in case they fix the issue) are available below.
