Time Warner Plans More Capping
Being one of the first Internet Service Providers to begin testing a bandwidth cap for broadband subscribers, Time Warner is announcing that it will expand its capping to more locations. While testing, those who paid $30 for internet service had a 5GB cap and were charged $1 for every gigabyte used over the limit. This was disappointing to consumers at the least, as even a few DVD quality movies would set subscribers close to their cap limit. It is not yet known however if the company will increase the cap limit for its variety of subscribers or what locations will be receiving the expanded cap limits to their Internet service.
