Hardware Roundup: Wednesday Edition

Category: Affiliate News

One of the biggest forces defining the mobile computing market today is the netbook with reported shipments of over 14 million units in 2008. Those are some pretty impressive numbers. Nvidia announced its Ion platform last December ahead of CES 2009. The platform pairs an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor with Nvidia's Geforce 9400 graphics processor to up the graphics capabilities of netbooks over Intel's aging 945G graphics chipset.  For mainstream systems our roundup picked up reviews on four X58 chipset motherboards and an Intel Core i7 965 processor (also reviewed by OCC here). We also have reviews on the Thermaltake Spedo case (reviewed by OCC here), Western Digital's latest 2TB Caviar Green drive and more.
