Recalls have marked the battery market for over the past couple years, mainly coming from manufacturers such as Sony. Luckily, not many people have been injured by these defective batteries in laptops and notebooks. Now however, a Chinese man has been killed by an exploding cell phone battery in a local Lenovo store. As of yet, the make and model of either the phone or battery is not known, but statistics show that this incident marks the seventh time a case like this has occurred in China in the last six years. It will be interesting to hear updated news on the make and model of the battery however, since it was the probable culprit of the explosion.
