Rumors have been reported in the past months that Fujitsu would be ending the business of the hard drive manufacturing that it currently runs. These manufacturing processes run in multiple factories, and employ a good amount of people at them. Recently, the company has confirmed that it will indeed be selling the head of its hard drive disk business to Toshiba, which is currently the fifth largest vender of hard disks. There are no exact numbers on how big of a money transaction was involved with this deal, but reports are estimating that a total of $340 million to $450 million was exchanged. Selling off its head part of its own hard drive disk business is just part of the restructuring process that Fujitsu is making, along with tons of other companies that are being hit hard by the economy.
