As of this morning iLife '09 is now available from the Apple Store, and should hit retailers in the next day or so if it isn't already there. Announced during the rather boring MacWorld keynote, the major change in iLife '09 is the updated iPhoto which now includes face-recognition and geo tagging.
The one thing I'm interested in, and probably the only reason I may buy iLife '09 is the update to GarageBand. The new version includes basic lessons to teach users to play the guitar or keyboard, additional artist lessons can be purchased where famous musicians like Sting, Sarah McLachlan, John Fogerty, Ben Folds, and others will teach you to play some of their songs.
Also included in iLife '09 is updates to iWeb, iDVD, and iMovie. The new version costs $79 for a single user, or $99 for a 5 user "family pack" and requires OS X 10.5 Leopard.
