Thermaltake has expanded its lineup with the announcement of the Thermaltake XT family of power supplies. The Toughpower XT power supplies will be offered in 650W, 750W and 850W models in standard and cable management (modular) variations. These new units contain several new features including FanDelayCool for thorough cooling, S.P.T. Indicator for real-time monitoring, and 12Vin1. The units feature a three-position FanDelayCool switch that allows the 140mm dual-ball bearing cooling fan to continue to run for up to 30 seconds after system shutdown to enable the unit to cool down much like that found on projectors. The cooling fan also has SFC (Smart Fan Control) Quiet technology that ensures the fan always operates at the optimal speed based on the temperature inside the power supply for the quietest performance. Thermaltake has also gone to a single 12V rail, called 12Vin1, to eliminate any problems with inadequate current on separate rails when powering high-end systems. The units also include three status indicator LEDs for monitoring standby, power good signal and temperature (SPT) of the unit. All units come with active PFC, high-quality Japanese capacitors, two 6-pin and two 8-pin PCI-E connectors for multi-GPU graphic cards and are meet the 80Plus Bronze standard for power efficiency. Thermaltake has not disclosed pricing or availability at this time.
