A new case from Lian Li is always worth a look and the new PC-A05N is no exception. On first glance it appears to be a pretty standard small tower case, but if you look more closely you might notice something a little unusual. Yes, the PC-A05N has something of a unique internal layout, in that rather than the standard rear PSU mounting position, Lian Li has opted to switch things up make space for it in the lower front of the case, underneath the 5.25" and 3.5" bays. That means the airflow design of the case has been reversed as well, with a 120mm intake fan on the rear and a second 120mm exhaust fan sitting at the front. The idea of this non-standard layout is to allow the case to be compact while remaining easy to work with when installing hardware (you should be able to fit long graphics cards for example). You also get anti-vibration mounts for your hard drives and the kind of materials and workmanship you would expect from Lian Li. The PC-A05N should be available as of now for a recommended price of $95+VAT.
