Intel Atom N280 Details

The current Intel Atom N270 is the CPU that you will find in pretty much any netbook you should happen to put your hands on. The N280 will receive a small speed bump (1.66GHz up from 1.6GHz) and move to a 667MHz bus rather than the N270's 533MHz. Possibly more interesting for most is that the chipset it will be paired will also get an update. Unfortunately there aren't many details around for the GN40 chipset, which will replace the 945GSE chipset current employed. All we can do is hope that whatever graphics core it packs in makes a considerably better showing, especially with upcoming competition from companies such as NVIDIA.
