Western Digital 2TB HDD Coming This Week?

The race to hit the 2TB barrier appears to be hotting up somewhat, with Seagate already having announced platters which cram in 500GB of data and now rumours that Western Digital may be the first one to get there with the release of a 2TB version of its Green Power hard drive later this week. The drive (model number WD20EADS) will come with 32MB of cache, an 8.9ms seek time and an expected price of around $224. Drives currently top out at 1.5TB, so that extra 500GB would mean more room for high definition movies or whatever else you use that gobbles up all your available space (*cough*, nothing rude of course).
