BFG Reveals Phobos
With the economy in what seems to be in a downfall, BFG has just recently shown a gaming computer that is hand-built, and features literally all cream of the crop parts inside of it. Some of these include a 3.2GHz Core i7 965 Extreme Edition, 6GB of Patriot PC3-12800 DDR3 memory, an MSI Eclipse X58 motherboard, four 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor hard drives, a 1,200W BFG power supply unit, and a contained water-cooling system for both the processor and the graphics cards. The big price of the system is obviously the major included Core i7 processor along with the hard drives, but four NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 cards running in SLI are also contributing to the price. Other than those graphic cards, BFG will also be including a GeForce GTX 285, which will act as a PhysX processor for the computer. The Elite model of the Phobos starts at a whopping $8,000, while the cheaper version such as the Advanced model sells for $5,000, and the Performance model sells at a total of $3,000.
