According to several Wal-Mart employees, the giant retail chain will begin selling Apple's iPhone in it stores with the general consensus being that it will appear on shelves after Christmas. Employees and managers who had undergone sales training leaked the information although Wal-Mart remained tight-lipped about the issue saying they would not be making an announcement at this time. Just last week, rumors began circulating that Wal-Mart would begin selling a 4G iPhone model for $99. Apple currently sells two models of the popular unit at $199 for the 8GB model and $299 for a 16GB version. Most other sources seem to be discounting the rumor as just that and don't believe the models Wal-Mart will offer will be anything but another way for Apple to reach consumers with its current models similar to its agreement with Best Buy.
