Energizer will be unveiling a new battery during CES 2009, which they claim will provide up to three times more runtime than similarly sized alkaline or lithium-ion batteries. Zinc Air Prismatic batteries apparently offer high energy density along with a thin form factor. Those qualities should allow greater flexibility in design for those companies interested in using them, as well as enabling small devices. It all sounds very promising at the moment, but we only have Energizers word to go on. Hopefully we'll get time during CES in January to get a look and see if they really are that impressive.
