Verizon Wireless has now released a new firmware for its BlackBerry Storm mobile device. The new upgrade can be downloaded through the phone’s Desktop Software Manager, which is available through connecting a personal computer to the phone. Verizon expects the new firmware to be able to be downloaded over-the-air by sometime Friday, most likely in the evening. Performance in the media application, as well as issues in switching between landscape and portrait mode are just some of the things to be fixed. The upgrade has been talked about for a few days now throughout the internet, but Verizon Wireless is just now releasing the new firmware to its customers.
