After a hard year in terms of business, countless companies have cut workers due to the demanding economic times in the United State. Throughout the last year, AT&T has shown signs that it has been growing as a mature company. Most commercials shown on television broadcast its bundle services, such as internet, phone, and television combined into one package. Today however, the company has announced that it will cut roughly 12,000 employees throughout 2009. The workers that are going to go through the lay off process represent about four percent of the entire company's workforce. Besides the drop in workers, AT&T also plans to cut back on its capital spending that it will do in 2009 compared to 2008.
