Sun Microsystems Incorporated yesterday patched Java, bringing it to the latest release, known as Java 1.6.0_11. This recent update fixed around fourteen or more vulnerabilities, as well as thirty-four nonsecurity problems associated with the program. It is not yet known however exactly how many vulnerabilities all together were fixed in the latest patch. Those who are on Windows and want to update their Java to the latest version, can update it through the Java application in the Control Panel, or download it directly through the Java website. Mac users will have to wait for Apple to release their version of Java, as they regulate how often it gets released for the Mac operating system.
