If trends displayed yesterday hold up, netbooks may prove to be the hot computer-related item this holiday. The first week after the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday kicks off with Cyber Monday as many shoppers head back to work and hop online to do a little shopping and catch some deals. Netbooks topped Amazon's bestsellers list Monday in the computer hardware category, ending up with seven of the top 10 slots. After all the dust settled, ASUS' black Eee 900HA finished at the top of the list, but not before a running battle with the Acer Aspire One saw them change places throughout the day. The Aspire One ended up claiming the next two spots (the black version finished second over the sapphire blue one, which came in third). Also in the top ten were One Laptop Per Child's XO netbook, the Samsung NC-10 and the MSI Wind. While some netbooks come with 3-cell batteries, all of the netbooks in the top ten were models with 6-cell batteries which offer much longer run times while on battery power.
