With Core i7 processors supporting triple-channel DDR3 memory, any thoughts of upgrading must consider a change in memory if you've been running DD2 memory. A pair of dual-channel kits made the roundup today - Mushkin's DDR3 16600 and Crucial's Ballistix Tracer 4GB DDr3-1333 (reviewed by OCC here) memory kits. Both are dual-channel kits but that may be enough to get you started on a Core i7 build. The Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard if based on the latest X58 chipset required for Core i7 processors but our roundup also includes the Gigabyte X48-DQ6 (reviewed by OCC here) and the ECS A790GXM-A (also reviewed by OCC here) for AMD CPUs. Solid state drives seem to be making lots of headlines lately and today's roundup has a pair of reviews featuring Intel's X25 SSDs.
