Comcast announced it is adding Oregon and parts of southwest Washington state to regions being served by its wideband 50 Mbps service. Based on the new DOCSIS 3.0 standard, the new two-tier offering will be available to residential customers who already subscribe to Comcast's cable service. Customers can choose either a 22Mbps download or a  50Mbps download tier priced at $62.95 and $139.95/month respectively. Along with the roll out, current residential customers will see their speeds double with either 12Mbps or 16Mbps downloads and 6Mbps uploads.
