Today, Google released two new versions of its 3D modeling software, SketchUp 7 and SketchUp Pro 7. These new versions are stated by Google to make modeling easier for beginners to get started, as well as make modeling more intuitive. With the new versions, users can now search through an online database of millions of three dimensional models, called the Google 3D Warehouse. The company also included a couple additional features to the program, including LayOut 2, which allows users to create and share professional looking presentations from models made in SketchUp. The program itself is free, and can be downloaded from the official Google website, though the Pro version of SketchUp comes with a price tag of $495.
