According to Rolling Stone magazine, XM and Sirius combined operations back in May, but they are not merging their channels until this upcoming Wednesday. The combination of the two now has more than nineteen million people subscribed to the satellite radio service, and subscribers are expected to grow despite the tragic economy. There is no set list for the combination of channels, but a couple ideas have already been proposed as to what the lineup would look like after the merger. XM currently offers a package that includes the best of Sirius radio channels, while Sirius also offers the same type of package, except with the best of XM radio channels.
