Upgrade Coming to Windows Update

Announced today, for the second time in three months, Microsoft Corporation plans to upgrade its Windows Update service that users use to keep their Windows operating system up-to-date. The infrastructure update, which will bring Windows Update to version 7.2.6001.788, fixes a bug that produced an error when users attempted to install 80 or more updates at the same time using either Microsoft Update or the Windows Update service. Though it can be downloaded manually from the corporation’s website, Microsoft plans to roll out the update over the next couple of months, as stated by an unidentified Microsoft employee on the official Windows Update team blog.
