Google's YouTube announced it will begin showing full length TV shows in a move to boost its ad revenue. The first set of shows will be in partnership with CBS and will include advertising before, during and after the shows. The shows from CBS will include '90210', 'Dexter' and 'Californication'. The shows owners will have the option of selling the ads with YouTube sharing in the revenue stream. Google has long struggled with how to turn a profit on its investment in YouTube and this move show they are still searching. YouTube also said it is discussing partnership arrangements with other providers but chose not to elaborate further.
