Intel Challenges AMD Spinoff

Intel says it has "serious questions" concerning today's announcement by AMD to divest itself of its chip fabrication units. Intel and AMD have an agreement to share technology that requires AMD to pay Intel for the right to use certain Intel patents. Intel says the transaction may violate the licensing agreement. Intel is calling on AMD to make the agreement public.
