As part of moves to streamline its operations, the largest online auction site, eBay will be cutting around 1,000 jobs (which amounts to 10% of its current workforce). The move may also see a number of those temporarily employed losing their jobs. Along with the streamlining plan comes the announcement of new acquisitions for the company, including payment site Bill Me Later and Danish classified advertising sites dba.dk and bilbasen.dk.
