Later this month, overclockers from around the world will be gathering in Taipei, Taiwan to take part in the Gigagbyte Open Overclocking Championship. Contestants from around the world representing 23 different countries are slated to take part. There will be two different events - Battle for the Best P45 OC and a Free Style Contest. Contestants were culled from regional competitions held worldwide with the winners in each area chosen to take part in the world championship. In addition to the world crown and bragging rights, the winner will receive prizes worth over $5,000 US including cash and products from sponsors. Gigabyte has garnered support from the likes of Intel, AMD with its Radeon HD 4870 X2 cards, Corsair memory and Western Digital's VelociRaptor drives.
