New Star Wars MMO in Development

Despite it being the last day of E3, that doesn't stop the big announcements from pouring in. In 2006, BioWare, one of the greatest RPG developers of all-time, announced work on a new MMORPG, but wouldn't divulge any further information. Rumors swirled, but today BioWare unveiled the heavily-guarded secret. The developer of the critically-acclaimed RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (better known among fans as KOTOR) announced that the MMO is a new Star Wars MMO, and a sequel of sorts to the KOTOR series. Details are sorely lacking at this point, including the fate of SOE's Star Wars Galaxies, but one thing's for certain; if BioWare can put the same level of committment into this MMO as it did for KOTOR (and its other hugely successful RPG's), this will be the MMO Star Wars fans have been waiting for for a long time.
