Hardware Roundup: Tuesday Edition
The Asus Eee 701 generated a lot of buzz in the marketplace when it was first released and met the needs of those wanting a capable ultra-portable device. Whether there was pent up demand or possibly the new sub-compact created new demand is open for debate. However, the fact is many were not comfortable with switching to a Linux machine. Along comes the Atom processor from Intel and Asus combined that processor with Windows XP Home and upped the screen size from 7" to 8.9" and the Eee 901 was born.
