Dell may not be one of the first names to jump into your head when you think 'overclocking' but Corsair is certainly well known for its performance memory kits. The memory maker joined up with Dell to push the limits of system performance by pairing a Dell XPS 730 gaming rig with 4GB of Corsair Dominator DDR3 memory modules. The result was a stable overclock with an increase in memory frequency to 1600MHz. The Dominator series memory kits feature DHX technology which is a quad-layer heatsink design which results in optimal heat dissipation. As overclockers, we know better thermal performance results in greater stability at higher overclocks. And higher memory frequencies result in better system performance due to increased memory bandwidth. The increase from 2GB to 4GB of memory can also result in better game play.
