Guitar Hero? Lets Try Band Heroes!

Activision has decided to get a whole virtual band in on the fun all while keeping the original namesake. “Guitar Hero World Tour” will allow two four person groups to compete with each other online for fame and fortune… but without the fortune part and probably the fame part too now that I’m thinking about it. Guitar Hero will now be an almost exact twin to its rival Rock Band in that it will have a guitar, drums, bass and microphone for the lead singer. Guitar Hero accounts for a 72 percent increase in Activision’s stock over the past 12 months alone with over a billion dollars made off of the hit game. “Guitar Hero World Tour” will feature bands such as The Eagles, Linkin Park, Sublime and Van Halen with every song being an original master track versus the past games with cover versions. Guitar Hero junkies can also look forward to “Guitar Hero Aerosmith” which should be released next month.
