That is what Chinese web site HKEPC is reporting, with the Q9650 chip coming with specs identical to that of the current QX9650 (minus the unlocked multiplier). So that's 3GHz, 1333MHz FSB and 12MB of cache built on the 45nm process for around half of what it would currently cost you. The dual-core E8600 is also due in this time period, bumping to 3.33GHz from the 3.16GHz of the E8500 and should come in at a $266 price point. New processors also mean price drops on existing models, and HKEPC is listing drops for the Q9550 (from $530 to $316), the Q6600 (from $224 to $203) and the E8500 (from $266 to $183). Those price drop figures are probably more interesting to most than the new chip releases.
