AMD understands that it's sometimes difficult for consumers to easily differentiate gaming-grade PC's and components from similarly named and packaged mainstream parts, and they're hoping that the AMD GAME! initiative will help the buying public in that regard. AMD GAME! is the result of collaborative efforts between AMD, Alienware, Acer, Logitech, and Microsoft to help consumers figure out what PC's and parts are best suited to gaming and high-definition entertainment. AMD is, of course, pimping its own products here - but the hardware that will be branded with the AMD GAME! logo seems to offer solid performance potential. Consumers will soon find many AMD CPU's, 3xxx-series video cards, and AMD-based motherboards that have been AMD GAME! certified.
