Attention, extreme overclockers - your dream motherboard may have arrived, in the form of the Limited Edition Gigabyte P45 Extreme. It's very apparent that this ultra-enthusiast motherboard is meant for those trying to break records, sporting a LN2 tube for extreme CPU cooling, and chipset barbs that make liquid-loop integration a snap. Gigabyte didn't stop the cooling innovation there though, as the most obvious - and impressive - temperature control device is the massive convection-based cooling solution, which extends from the CPU to the PWM, over to the rear I/O, through the Northbridge and finally exiting out the back of the case via a massive copper structure that resembles a video card more than a cooler. Other points of interest include the 12-phase PWM, three PCI-E x16 slots, upgraded Dynamic Energy Saver (DES) technology, and a Gigabyte-first external CMOS clear button. You should definitely check out the pictures of this incredible looking Gigabyte motherboard in today's edition of the OCC Hardware Round-up.
