Firefox 2 Gets Major Bug Fix

Mozilla has released a "Critical" update for its well-liked Firefox 2 web browser. The patch fixes an error in the JavaScript engine in Firefox 2, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey, where some users experienced stability issues when JavaScript performed garbage collection tasks. This issue is not suspected to cause any exploitable security holes, but similar crashes have been known to expose previously undiagnosed security risks. Users should access the "Help" button on the menu bar, and select "Check for Updates" to install this important patch, even if they have automatic updating turned on - I do, and this update was not automatically installed.
