ASUS's ultra-portable laptop, the Eee PC, has been a huge success in the relative small time it has been out and it seems like it is only going to get better. The Eee PC thus far has really appealed to the "geeker" crowd do to its use of Xandros Linux as its OS, but ASUS has just released the 4G-X into the market featuring Windows XP Home as its OS. This should allow the Eee PC to have an easier time entering the mainstream market where many consumers are used to Windows as apposed to Linux. Amazingly the price is $399.99 which is an almost identical price to its "evil" or "good" (I'll let you choose) twin, which really surprises me as I would think including XP would drive the price up. The 4G-X features a 4GB SSD, 512MB of DDR2, 900MHz Intel Celeron M, 7" display with max resolution of 800x480 and Windows XP Home pre-installed. For now you are only able to pick up the new laptop locally at a Best Buy or on their website.
