Intel was set to launch their new P45 chipset motherboards in May, but a hardware conflict has pushed back that launch until mid-June. It seems as though there are compatibility problems between the P45's PCI-E 16x slot and certain graphics cards. Intel is expected to get this problem sorted out quickly, and reports indicate that the P45 launch might only be delayed by 2-4 weeks. Intel now plans to launch the P45 chipset during Computex 2008. There is a silver lining to this cloud, however - the delayed launch will allow motherboard makers extra time to clear out their remaining P35 stock.
