Sometimes in the course of scouring the web for newsworthy, and some not so newsworthy items, you come across something that makes you scratch your head and say "What the hey?" No, I'm not talking about the two-headed calf stories or the alien abduction tabloid items, I'm thinking more along the lines of "Mommy, Why is There a Server in the House?, Helping Your Child Understand the Stay-At-Home Server". Yes, Virginia, Microsoft does have a sense of humor. If you haven't guessed by now, this little gem comes to us courtesy of the marketing folks on the Windows Home Server team. With wonderful lines like "The office is a boring place where big people go and do boring things." and "Offices are why big people get grumpy and say bad things" you know this book is destined to hit the New York Times best-seller list. The site has some funny videos as well. Maybe I need to get this book for my kids. It might help them understand a few things about daddy. One thing I did find odd is the web site uses Adobe Flash Player – hasn't anyone on the Home Server team ever heard of Silverlight?
