Super Talent Technology made public today a new line of Solid State Drives (SSDs) that have a industrial temperature rating from -40C to 85C (I-Temp). The drives are interchangeable with conventional hard drives, but are significantly more resistant to shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures. There are nineteen new I-Temp SSDs drives ranging in a variety of sizes starting with 1.8-inch, 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch form factor SATA SSDs, and 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch IDE (PATA) SSDs. "Many of our current SSD customers are using them in industrial or military environments where they are exposed to harsh environmental conditions, so our I-Temp SSDs are made to endure extreme temperatures where commercial storage products will fail", commented Super Talent Marketing Director, Joe James.
