Computer World - While Vista's uptake in the consumer market has been very strong, and a large reason why Microsoft reported some of its strongest earnings in eight years, some analysts are pointing out that while the home sector of Vista has been strong, the enterprise sector remains stagnant on Vista's uptake, nine to twelve months behind analysts' expectations. Where some industries were anticipating incorporating Vista into their businesses in late 2007 or early 2008, they are now revising their estimates to late 2008 or early 2009. Analysts say that Microsoft overanticipated the power of their operating system and the ability of programmers to update their programs to run on it, which is part of the reason many industries have yet to upgrade from Windows XP, which after several years on the market has proven itself to be a reliable home and business operating system.
