Not long after Microsoft decided to extend the retail shelf life of Windows XP, there are now rumors circulating as to what the features of XP's upcoming SP3 are going to be. Many of these features are said to be backported from Windows Vista, as well as 1000 other hotfixes and updates since Service Pack 2's release three years ago. Some of the additions rumored to be in SP3 are NAP from Vista, as well as a new activation model that no longer requires the manual input of a license key. Microsoft did not comment on the rumors, but it is said that the SP3 beta was sent out to beta testers last Sunday.
