"Most component manufactures seem to have some kind of PSU line these days, other notable memory providers such as OCZ and Mushkin both provide such products and Corsair itself released its HX series of PSUs some time ago. The HX series (which included 520W and 620W units) has proved very successful, gaining a good reputation, notably for being quieter than most other PSUs available. The VX series supplies continue the same aesthetic, which would seem to suggest Corsair has continued to use Seasonic as its manufacturing partner. The new PSUs are aimed more at the mainstream buyer and come in with 450W and 550W ratings and Corsair is claiming these units are highly efficient and ultra-quiet."
