Techspot - While it's unlikely that all vendors will instantly jump on the opportunity, Apple is opening their doors to a world of DRM-free music. Yesterday, Apple announced that they will let any of their partners offer DRM-free content, both music and videos. Having already made a similar deal with EMI, it seems Apple wants to encourage other labels to introduce DRM-free formats to the market. Will anybody bite? I certainly hope so, as any additional vendor joining EMI would be a huge success for consumer freedom.
