DailyTech - Adobe Systems has announced that soon PC and Mac users will be able to play Flash videos without the need for a Web browser. The Adobe Media Player, formerly codenamed Philo, is a desktop application soon available as a ‘lightweight’ download that will give users the ability to view videos offline with full screen playback, access to one-click viewer ratings and a Favorites feature that automatically downloads new episodes of favorite TV shows or video podcasts.
