Info: I traded a 386 mainboard and processor about 8 years ago to get this monster.Well... This is JUST an idea. I have one of these under my bed (lofted of course) and want to see what people think. I am borrowing images from http://obsoletecomputermuseum.org/ and I so DESPARATELY want to make good use of this device. LOL.Lucky me I have the special edition of the Compaq Portable Plus with the 20 MB hard drive and 360k Single side single density floppy.Original specs... LAUGH YOUR HEART OUT...Intel 8088 processor at 8mhz20 MB HD360kb floppy integrated video with ISA COMPOSITE video When I received my box, it came with DOS 1.0. I upgraded it to MSDOS 3.30 and Windows 1.03 for the AT&T 6300.It is heavy as crap because the framing of it is made out of AIRCRAFT GRADE ALUMINUM.:-)

It has been years since updating anything here... I do wanna gut it and do something with this, but I can't decide on what... Oh.. and it is covered with 300+ stickers...
I want to do the LCD mod, a few cooling fans and what have you, but I also have to cut out the side for the standard ports.... uggh. It won't look the same... period. The wife has begged me to toss it. NO WAY.

Lets see you mod it to a a64 maybe but a small lcd monitor in place of that old monochrome crap. That could be a nice lan party set up. put the speakers inside you'ld be set, with a window paint and lights of course.
