Info: I had this in before but unfinished at that time....now I have removed alot of the lighting mods and replaced the fans with higher quality sunon 50cfm and y.s. tech 122.5 cfm fans. In addition I have added a second meanwell 320 peltier psu and swaped out the vantec 520 for a antec 550 true control. New mods include indivual voltage displays and emergency shutdown toggles for pelts, and pumps. Added an l.i.s. platinum and took away the digidoc5, added a key for power up, changed the l.e.d.s. on the rheobus, added some thermaltake ducting mods to the window for 9800pro ram cooling. Put in higher quality radiators and 6 y.s. tech 120mm 122.5cfm fans to cool them. I think thats it for the changes.

voltage monitoring for pelt psu's and toggles to shut them down for system bleeding. Acrylic bay resevoirs, toggle above is a master control that turns on all cooling without turning on the main system for precooling prior to benching.

Matt McFaul commented on 2003-10-19 22:00:00 that:
ooooo its going to be so fun to add a fx51....tear down really isnt that bad since I remill the copper cold plates frequently for corrosion:-)

Matt McFaul commented on 2003-08-07 22:00:00 that:
lol, thanks guys. Actually there is no waste of money since you cant buy a machine that pulls 21,355 points. Since its an amd based system it really didnt cost me that much to build either...not like I sprung for the 3.2 with raid scsi or anything. Then its always a chassis that I can swap with newer gear which will allow me to saty well ahead of any current retail system out there.
Overkill? Not really since its built with a first release 8rga thats what I had to do to get 226+ FSB. Skimp on anything here and its all down hill. I may be popping a 3.2 with a max 3 in there and going for 4.2ghz soon though:-)....and yes I have other systems (many) so I dont consider skimping on this one to afford another....though I did sacrifice a car...hehe:-)

NyCUnDaGroUnD commented on 2003-08-07 22:00:00 that:
I mean i have never used amd before but i think he prefers AMD and theres nothing wrong about that. But its time to come over to the dark side with a Mach 2, IC7 max3 , and 3.2 ghz setup. But its goin to hel taking apart your system.

Will Smith commented on 2003-08-04 22:00:00 that:
um don 't u think u went a little overboard there man. i mean world tallest pc there but man u have too much time u could have spent the extra money on a new pc that would go ever faster.- WAste of money in my opinion

NyCUnDaGroUnD commented on 2003-08-01 22:00:00 that:
its probably worth more then $2000 considering all theose mods he did to it!

sYstEmATiC commented on 2003-07-30 22:00:00 that:
that thing is awesome...i will buy it for 500 bucks...no j/k
i have one question....have u ever taken that thing to a lan party, and if u have what was it like?

NyCUnDaGroUnD commented on 2003-07-29 22:00:00 that:
Matt INcredible machine man, i thought i had a tall computer. Yurs is stacked like a skyscraper. I bet u put lots of time in that baby. Great mods man. U modded all the freaking volt mods there are in the book. It must be a pain in the ass when u upgrade. Great job man!

Trash80 commented on 2003-07-27 22:00:00 that:
You should name it the Monolith, that machine is incredible!! I'd hate to have it tip over on me though. Great work, you've really put some man hours in on that one.
