Info: 3GHz 478 Pin Pentium 4 with HT running @ 3.6GHz, 20% overclock.
2GB G Skill PC4000(DDR500) very rare these days running at 480MHz, only because the E7210 memory controller won't reliably go past 240MHz external clock. Otherwise I'd run my CPU at 3.750MHz. I don't believe in underclocking RAM!
ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe with Intel 875P+ICH5R chipset.
AGP PowerColor HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 GPU with ZEROtherm cooling system.
Creative soundblaster Audigy 2ZS sound card.
Antec Basiq 500watt PSU.
Logitech LS21 2.1 speakers.
2 x 80GB Western Digital Hard drives in raid 0 (OS)
1 x 200GB Western Digital Hard drive (media).
Pioneer DVD burner. All drives SATA.
8 Fans. Intake: (2) 38mm x 120mm NMB metal bodied fans plugged directly to the mains power.
(1) 80mm fan on the side door over the CPU, with a snorkel attachment.
Exhaust: (3) 80mm fans at the rear of the side door and (2) 60mm fans on the back panel.
The case was salvaged from the local rubbish tip 3 years ago and the front fans and steel mounting plate came off a large APC server box about a year and a half ago, also from the tip. Hence the name "Junkyard Dog"
The operating system is Windows XP Pro service pack 3. 32 bit version.
The modifications were for practical, performace orientated reasons, not for LOOKS!
Although I did install two 30cm dual cold cathode lights, two silver dust filters and two LED 80mm fans in the side door for a bit of bling.
The front panel has been refurbished with West Australian Jarrah hard wood strips from the tip.
Future modifications planned for this rig are
ASROCK P4VM890+VIA VT8237R Plus Chipsets new still In the box whith a pci x 16 slot. I hope It will let me go all the way to 3750 mhz with my ram at 5oo mhz. I got a Vapour X HD 4890 on order too . my AOC 21.5" LCD Is just days away from being delivered. STAY TUNED .
